Zucchini Rolls with Cream Cheese: The Fresh and Delicious Summer Appetizer

Light, colorful, and easy to prepare, these zucchini rolls with cream cheese are perfect for a refreshing summer appetizer. The smoothness of the herbed cheese, enhanced with a touch of garlic and basil, pairs delicately with the zucchini and the crunch of sesame. Enjoy well chilled with a glass of rosé for a refined appetizer pairing.

Recipe

  • Blanch the zucchini strips for approximately 2 minutes, then drain them well so they remain supple without releasing too much water.
  • In a bowl, mix the herbed cream cheese with a little tomato paste, a small pressed garlic clove, finely chopped basil, and a few turns of the pepper mill.
  • Place a small spoonful of the mixture at the end of each zucchini strip, then roll gently so that the zucchini wraps around the filling at least one and a half times.
  • Then roll the bites in a plate of sesame seeds to add a crunchy and delicious touch.
  • Arrange the rolls on a plate, seam side down so they stay in place.
