Goat Cheese and Spinach Puff Pastries

When you want to prepare a simple yet characterful starter, these little goat cheese and spinach puff pastries are an excellent idea. The crispness of the pastry, the softness of the spinach, and the creaminess of the fresh goat cheese blend beautifully, enhanced by a few hazelnuts for added crunch. Served warm with a salad, they create a delicious and convivial moment, perfect for sharing over a good glass of Fendant.

Ingredients

For 6 puff pastries:

  • Rectangular puff pastry
  • Spinach
  • Fresh goat cheese
  • Crushed hazelnuts

Recipe

  • Cut the puff pastry into 6 squares
  • Place these squares in a tartlet mold
  • Prick the bottom and add
    • one tablespoon of crushed hazelnuts
    • a handful of blanched or frozen spinach
    • a turn of the pepper mill
    • 1/6 of a fresh goat cheese pyramid
  • Fold the corners of the pastry toward the center
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for 20 minutes
