A story of vision and audacity
The history of Château Lichten began in 1990, when the Rouvinez family purchased the estate from the Tavelli family.
At the time, the vines were still planted with traditional varieties such as Fendant, Johannisberg, or Gamay. The family then made a bold decision: to uproot these varieties and replant exclusively Valais specialties such as Petite Arvine, Cornalin, Humagne Rouge, and Syrah.
This visionary choice gradually transformed the estate and gave birth to a unique range, which has today become a true signature in the Valais wine landscape.
Precise and elegant wines
Between altitude, sunshine, and sandy soils, these vines offer ideal conditions for producing precise, elegant wines deeply connected to their origin.
The wines of Château Lichten are distinguished by their freshness, finesse, and assertive character, faithful reflections of this unique location.

What our customers say
A spectacular vineyard
Perched on the steep slopes of Loèche, the Domaine Château Lichten benefits from a remarkable natural environment.
Its sandy and well-drained soils allow the vine roots to reach deep, promoting a balanced water supply and optimal ripening of the grapes.
This demanding terroir gives rise to wines that are at once fine, expressive, and of great aromatic purity.
A vineyard focused on innovation
Since its replanting, the Domaine Château Lichten has occupied a special place within Domaines Rouvinez. This high-altitude vineyard has often served as an experimental ground for developing new viticultural practices.
Located on steep terraces bathed in sunlight, the estate was notably among the first to adopt drip irrigation to manage water with precision. The management of the vineyard is also part of an environmentally friendly approach, promoting the natural balance between the vines and the surrounding biodiversity.
These choices, driven by a long-term vision, contribute today to revealing all the finesse and character of Château Lichten wines.
