A very simple activity that only requires a rake or claw, and, of course, a beach full of these shellfish called cockles. The children loved catching them, and the parents loved... eating them! Being fond of mussels, we preferred them marini\u00e8re-style. A very simple recipe for intense gustatory pleasure!    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, you need to scratch in the sand for a long time to find enough cockles. Then they must be soaked for a few hours in salted water to remove stubborn grains of sand. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recipe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a pan or casserole, melt 50g of butter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sweat 2 large shallots and one onion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a bouquet garni and 3dl of white wine and bring to a boil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the cockles and stir for a few seconds to mix everything well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cover and cook over moderate heat for 5 minutes, until the cockles open.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Before serving, add a little chopped parsley for color.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accompany the cockles with a <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.famillerouvinez.com\/fr\/shop\/6-8-petite-arvine-fully-les-seilles-aoc-valais.html#\/37-centilisation-75\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Petite Arvine Les Seilles<\/a>, whose saline finish pairs particularly well with the iodized character of the cockles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last summer we went to Brittany as a family, and to fill some rainy afternoons, we went cockle fishing.
